Country Office Germany
Who we are and what we do
The German regional office of the German-Baltic Future Foundation is intensively committed to cultural, social and academic exchange between Germany, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Our common basis is the goals and values of the EU, which serve as a unifying element. We regularly organize events that bring people from different backgrounds together and promote intercultural dialogue. In addition, we work closely with the German-Baltic Youth Exchange Network (GBYEN), which links German and Baltic organizations and institutions. If you are interested in working together or if we can support you with networking in the Baltic States, we look forward to hearing from you!
Linus Kühl
Head
My name is Linus and I am delighted that you are interested in the German-Baltic Future Foundation! My focus on international logistics management and my academic background in corporate performance management have shown me the importance of good intra-European cooperation and networking. In addition to my research focus on Supply Chain Resilience & Big Data, I am also a certified auditor for management systems. I am very pleased to be able to contribute to better intra-European networking in this way!
Max Schmid
Deputy Head
Hello, my name is Max and I studied sociology in Nuremberg and Jena. I have been active in the dbjw since 2021 and am particularly enthusiastic about intercultural exchange because it creates peace and community in a globalized and multipolar world. By connecting young people from Germany, the Baltic countries and others on specific political and social issues, we are making a contribution to a Europe without nationalism and isolation.
Lisann Rothe
Employee
Hello, I'm Lisann, a master's student in cultural economics in Passau. I have been active with Dbjw since 2021 when I did an internship in the Latvian regional office. After the internship, I really wanted to stay and got involved in the CSG in Lüneburg and joined the German regional office. I fell in love with the Baltic States, was even there for an exchange last year and I really like working in the organization. I think bringing young people together and giving them a voice and offering them opportunities for exchange is very important in a world where young people will be most affected by the consequences of climate change and the current right-wing movement.
