We are delighted to announce a new partnership in Estonia between the German Baltic Future Foundation and Meaningful Talks, an innovative initiative dedicated to smart learning and smart teaching.

As part of this cooperation, we are very pleased to share that the founder of Meaningful Talks, Lilian Promet, will take part in our activities already this spring. Lilian will be a featured speaker in April in Estonia’s online episode of Digital Baltic Insights — a new digital seminar format of the German-Baltic Future Foundation. Digital Baltic Insights is designed as a monthly online series in which one of our country offices presents influential speakers and relevant topics for young people and our wider member community. The exact date of Lilian Promet’s seminar will be published very soon.

In addition, we are planning to coordinate joint workshops and learning formats with Meaningful Talks in the future, bringing their practical, reflective, and inspiring approach directly to our youth-focused events.

Smart learning for a changing educational landscape

Meaningful Talks focuses on empowering educators, youth workers, and young people by creating learning experiences that are meaningful, engaging, and connected to real-life challenges. Through workshops, discussions, and curated learning sessions, they address modern teaching methods, digital competences, personal development, and lifelong learning.

By inviting inspiring speakers and practitioners from different fields, Meaningful Talks helps participants gain new perspectives and practical tools they can immediately apply in their educational and youth work. This approach strongly aligns with the German-Baltic Future Foundation’s mission to support youth education, empowerment, and future skills development across borders.

Haridustreff — a yearly meeting place for educators

One of Meaningful Talks’ flagship initiatives is Haridustreff, a yearly event that brings together educators, innovators, and education-focused organisations from across Estonia. This year’s Haridustreff will take place in Tartu in August, offering a vibrant platform for sharing ideas, discovering new teaching tools, and shaping the future of education through collaboration and inspiration.

More information about the event is available on the official website: https://haridustreff.ee/.

We are especially excited that our German country office Brand Ambassador, Jonathan Tertsunen, is currently in discussions to participate and exhibit his photographic collection Aligned Freedom Project. This powerful project explores themes of freedom, identity, and intercultural dialogue through analog photography and participatory storytelling. You can learn more about the project here: https://victorray.photography/aligned-freedom-project/

We are very excited to see and support this emerging collaboration between our partner organisations and engaged young voices such as our Brand Ambassadors, creating meaningful connections between education, creativity, and youth empowerment!
