The German Defence Attaché in Estonia Harald Krempchen presented Germany’s view on the security situation in the region and spoke about his country’s efforts to make Europe more safe and ready to deter aggression.

He covered Germany’s plans to strengthen its military through increased investments and procurements, spoke about the German-Estonian partnership in the security sphere, and described the plans to fortify NATO’s eastern border, highlighting the 45th German Armoured Brigade as an example of the growing German-Baltic partnership.

Following the presentation the participants were able to speak with the attaché and ask questions about the present and the future of European security.

The Foundation was represented by Katrin Deren, Deputy Head of the Country Office Estonia, Brand Ambassador Daniil Iarlykovskii, and Brand Ambassador Filipp Gavrilov.

The German-Baltic Foundation thanks the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies and the German Embassy in Estonia for their invaluable cooperation.
