From 19 to 22 February, the German-Baltic Future Foundation held its annual project
management seminar.
Over the course of four days, participants improved their skills in writing and
managing projects, brainstormed, and developed projects that GBFF and GBYEN will
carry out in the future.
Erasmus+ project opportunities were of particular importance. Several country offices
now intend to apply for Erasmus project funding in order to advance GBFF’s mission
through youth exchanges and solidarity projects. Kirsti Fischer, GBFF’s lead project
manager, shared her expertise in project writing.
In addition, preparations were made for the annual German-Baltic Conference. The
conference will take place in Tallinn this year, with self-determination as its central
theme. Participants in the project management seminar developed possible cluster
ideas and conceptualized ways to engage conference participants. They also
reviewed feedback from the 2025 German-Baltic Conference in order to learn from
past experience.
Finally, a vision for the future of the German-Baltic Future Foundation was presented
by Maximilian Wende, the Foundation’s Future Manager. He introduced the DBJW
2030 concept, outlining various opportunities and development paths for the
organization. Most importantly, Maximilian emphasized that the future will be shaped
by all members of the organization, who are encouraged to share their perspectives
and opinions.
Several brand ambassadors of the German-Baltic Future Foundation were present,
learning about different opportunities and engaging in project work alongside other
contributors.
“The seminar opened up new opportunities for me and increased my motivation to
participate in the foundation’s activities. It was a pleasure to connect with other youth
ambassadors and network members.”
— Thomas Juras, Brand Ambassador, Lithuania
“Thanks to this event, I discovered several fresh ways to contribute to the
foundation’s activities. I really enjoyed practicing my German with other participants;
it was very helpful for my German learning journey.”
— Daniil Iarlykovskii, Brand Ambassador, Estonia
